Shaw House

We were initially called out to look at the stone foundation for this 100 year old multi-family home in the Shaw neighborhood. The stones had started separating, and the mortar between them was just about fully degraded.

As we were looking for the root cause of the problem, we discovered that water had been seeping all the way down entire backside of the structure for a very long time. Due to the water exposure, the interior bricks of the triple-wythe structure had degraded to the point that they could be crushed to powder in your hand.

Thankfully we were able to diagnose the problem before a a catastrophic collapse occurred, saving the building’s owner millions in potential damages while also saving this historic building.

Tim’s Chrome Bar

Tim’s Chrome Bar suffered some catastrophic damage after high winds tore the sign and much of the structural brick facade off the front of the building. We were able to get out the next day and have signed & sealed letters for temporary shoring so they could have the bar open within a week! We had structural details and solutions for repairs ready and waiting for code official approval by the end of the next week!
